Summer Visitors Take Two

Ok Ok Ok it has been forever since we updated our blog, but here it is. I know you have all been waiting for it. First, Megan's parents and sister. Second, my parents came to visit our little place out here in Denver.

Doesn't this look like the most beautiful day? I mean look at that blue blue sky. Pictured above is called the Garden of the Gods. This is located just outside Colorado Springs. It is quite beautiful. I really enjoyed the almost perfectly shaped trees surrounding the rock formation. It looks like the trees are trimmed by an army of gardeners.

It was great little stop before we went up to the BYU/Air Force game. In fact, Colorado Springs is a nice little town as well.

The beautiful day made for excellent conditions to watch the game, even though we got a little sunburned and BYU lost. It is still a neat experience to see a game at the Air Force Academy.

Much of my parents visit was spent working on our china hutch. When, Megan and I got married my dad promised to make a china hutch for us as a wedding gift. He does wonderful work and we, of course, were very excited. One really old tree from Preston, ID, a new work shop, and 3 years later the master piece was finished.

It was worth the wait! This is going to last us forever.
